Half-hourly electricity data analyser: peak, baseload, solar and battery fit
Download your half-hourly consumption from your supplier or meter operator as a CSV, then open it here. Everything is worked out in your browser: the file is not uploaded to us.

How the figures are worked out
- Peak demand is the highest half-hour's kWh doubled, giving kW. Baseload is the 5th percentile of half-hourly kW.
- Solar generation is estimated from the region's yield per kWp and a monthly profile from PVGIS (central England, 35° south-facing), spread over daylight hours with a sine curve. Real output varies with weather, orientation and shading, so treat it as a first screen.
- Used on site is, for each half-hour, the smaller of demand and generation. The battery size is the median day's smaller of spare solar and evening and night demand.
