How we work and how we are paid

UK Charging Solutions is a trading name of Piggy Pineapple Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 14385590. Registered office: 1 Anglers Way, Cambridge, CB4 1TZ.

What we do

We publish general information for UK businesses about EV charging, solar PV and battery storage: costs, grants, tax treatment, grid connections and business cases. Every factual statement links to a public source, with the date we last checked it.

When you ask us to, we introduce your enquiry to an installer partner that covers your area and the kind of work you need. We never sell your details to anyone else.

How we are paid

The guides are free. Installer partners may pay us a referral fee when we introduce an enquiry or when work goes ahead. The fee never changes the price the installer quotes you.

Interests: our owner holds shares in at least one installer partner. We tell you which partner we are introducing you to before we pass on your details, so you can say no.

How we choose partners

• They must hold the accreditations the work needs: an OZEV-authorised installer for grant-funded chargepoints, and MCS for solar and battery systems claiming the Smart Export Guarantee.
• They must cover your area and the type of site.
• We record complaints and stop referring to partners that do not resolve them.

What we will not do

• We do not give financial, tax or legal advice. For that, speak to your accountant or a solicitor.
• We do not call ourselves independent, rank installers as “best”, or promise savings or returns.
• We do not arrange finance or leases.
