Public EV chargers by council: local charging lookup
Choose your council to see how many public chargers it has, how that compares with the rest of the UK, and how many plug-in cars are registered there. Few chargers and many plug-in cars can mean demand for a new site.
How this is worked out
- Charger counts and rates per 100,000 people come from the DfT table EVCI0102 (data from Zapmap, population from ONS).
- Plug-in vehicle counts come from the DfT table VEH0142 for vehicles registered in the area.
- Rank 1 is the council with the most public chargers per 100,000 people.
